DIY Brewery Baby Shower | Babes + Beers

Our sweet friends, Vanessa + Justin, are expecting in August! We were so so excited to put on a special co-ed celebration for their newest baby girl. What better way to break the 'ladies-only' baby shower stigma than to have it at a local brewery? Everyone was excited to participate in some beverage tasting and we encouraged guests to bring a 'brewery-themed' side dish to share (monte cristos main dish, uh YUM). Liquid Mechanics Brewing Co. in Lafayette, Colorado had the perfect side room for private events so we took full advantage of the space.

While we already knew the gender of the baby girl, the soon-to-be mom and dad love a good neutral color palette and mustard is right on brand with their style. We added texture with bamboo plates, striped linens, oak signage, and boho macrame + tassels. The brewery did not have a kitchen area, so we had to get creative with the recyclable modern flatware and disposable charger plates. Each setting had a custom 'Baby is Brewing' cup from Etsy and flower arrangements scattered throughout the space created from our favorite Trader Joe's bundles. The 'baby mama' and 'baby daddy' lounge area added an extra space for guests to hang out and a perfect spot for gift opening.

We are beyond thrilled to welcome this new bundle of joy into the world! She is so very loved already. Congrats to the new mom and dad to-be!
